Gopuff was founded in 2013 by co-CEOs Rafael Ilishayev and Yakir Gola when they were college students at Drexel University. The Philadelphia-based company now operates more than 600 micro-fulfillment centers in more than 1000 markets across the United States, including Chicago and its suburbs. I've had the privilege of seeing this company grow from 50 employees, 39 markets, and $40m in funding to over 300 corporate employees, 192 markets, and over $1b in VC funding. While challenging, it's been an incredibly rewarding experience from both a personal and professional perspective thus far.
