It all comes down to management. If management doesn't know how to inspire or motivate its workers then nothing will ever flourish, only stay the same.
Learn more about a person than just knowing that they will be your little "yes men." It takes brains to lead, not just a bunch of followers.
Recognizing that every single worker is a HUMAN BEING deserving of respect. People should not be insulted, harassed and threatened over the course of doing their job, and if a customer takes things to this extreme then management should have the spine to stand with their workers in handling it.
