I have been frustrated during yearly reviews because the company DOES NOT take into account someone's actual skills and productivity. They use a ridiculous math matrix. They can only have X employees rated as 5stars, X can have 4stars, and so on.

I liked that I was interviewed by people that worked on the team I would be assigned to instead of just a higher up HR person. The team knows what to ask to see if you can do what they need.
