Zoom Wins Top Comparably 2021 Award for Best CEO of Diversity

Zoom CEO Eric Yuan has taken the top slot in Comparably’s Best CEO’s for Diversity award, a rundown of the 50 best chief executives of large companies that have been rated exceptionally well in anonymous sentiment ratings by the company’s own employees of color (non-Caucasian) on Comparably.com over a period of the previous 12 months. The list was derived from 10 million ratings across 60,000 companies. Prior to founding Zoom, Yuan was corporate vice president of engineering at Cisco, where he was responsible for Cisco’s collaboration software development. Yuan has won multiple awards before, including being named the 2020 Time Businessperson of Year, as well as being included among the magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020.

Zoom rates an A+ for Diversity on Comparably, with the company easily placing among the top 5% of other similar-sized companies on Comparably.

Employees of color rated Yuan a score of 98 as CEO, with 88% of diverse employees saying they believe they are paid fairly. Diverse employees also gave Zoom an eNPS score of 90, with 97% of them reporting that they had positive feelings about their work environment at Zoom.
