Communication. It has always been terrible, and has not improved for many years.
The most positive is what we bring to the table. WE make it positive.
We have a few dedicated employees in my department. We work together well, and we are committed to getting things done, and take pride in the work we churn out everyday.
The company has invested money in race cars and things that have nothing to do with groceries. Invest in the people! Pay people fairly with competitive wages and treat them with respect. Keep communication lines open. They will have less turnover, and more satisfied employees.
I have decades of experience in my field. I am paid less than new hires because they are f/t and I am p/t. That makes no sense. Even though I receive glowing reviews by my manager my raises are pathetic. My wage is all I have. I don't get the same bonus or benefits as my f/t counterparts.
