Smart and energetic blended with a good attitude are great, but younger people need to value the one thing that older people always have more of, experience. There is no fast track for experience, it takes time to gain it.
They can be insecure or intimidated by just your presence. Without clear communication and expectations, it will be a challenge for both.
We can all learn from each other. As long as their is respect there should not be an issue.
Am not experienced this situation, but I say keep it simple from both ends
Never had an issue. They have a vision and created something. We work for the company not any particular person.
Younger bosses are fine as long as there are willing to listen to there wise employees that are there for them. Never had an issues personally
It’s never been an issue for me. I don’t go to work to compare myself to any other employee. Plenty of ppl do and it’s unfortunate and does not benefit the company at all. Going to work with blinders on, so to speak, is something everyone should learn to do
It depends on the personality of the boss of course. I don't think the age matters as much. If you don't have the same culture or values as your boss your life would suck.
Fine, smart people are smart people whatever their age.
I didn't have any issues working with a boss that was younger than me the problem for me was that my 17 year old boss was not being professional in front of customers or clients
Ability, or the ambition to own or operate a company has no age limit. I have worked for older or younger. No problem. Ability is the key.
I have never personaly had this experience, but in my opinion their are still the boss. They should be treated the same, no matter the age difference.
