Do it scientifically show dedication to some aspects explain that A is more important than B and that A can suffer because of B
You can't
Ask their advice. Put a positive approach on it, let them know you want to do better/more and having difficulty doing the workload. Do they have suggestions, give you any ideas? Maybe have them show you or give tips.
Be direct and definitely not whiny !!! Explain that certain things require close attention and cannot be rushed. My experience, most bosses respond, "Man up and get it done !!"
I'm not lazy, they all know that! I go above and beyond!
Explain in basic terms of resources versus throughput. This pipe can process 100 gallons a week...yet I seem to be loaded to 200...which to do you feel are non-priority for me.
You cannot complain about workload at this firm. You will be told "there's the door" or "no one is forcing you to stay here."
Out work into your suggestion by submitting it on paper or email
Use data to back up your story. Outline what you are doing and how long it takes to complete each task. Do not compare yourself to others.
Don't complain. If you can't manage the work, maybe that job is not for you.
Detail everything you do by timeline of your schedule every day
First, break it down for yourself. Make sure you really are over worked. Be ready with facts. Let them know what your doing, compare it to what others are doing, show time taken on tasks, etc. Approach it from a point of view of, "hey boss, I have all this work and I cant seem to get it all done. Here is what Im doing and how long it takes me. Can you help me go faster? Am I taking on too much?..."
