For the most part it is positive but some areas have a terrible problem with gossip. HR and GMs has driven this at times. DCC has HR manager that drove it with a group of middle managers a few years ago.
Find the individuals that the last CEO ran off and ask them to come back. You can't have the turn over, and trouble finding good people until you get past this "King Bob" type of management.
