
It is hit or miss. I happened to interview with good people who asked good questions and who were competent at the skill of candidate assessment.
The company's comp and benefits are behind the times. For example, lack of 401(k) match. As another example, lack of quality of life things like fresh fruit and healthy snacks.
The people I work with are trying to do their best. We are all working in a positive way towards a better future. We don't let the long odds or the chaotic growth get us down.
I am happy to be working on things that matter. My work has an impact. My boss gives me flexibility and autonomy. I do not feel micromanaged. I feel encouraged to be creative and to swing for the fences.
