Very good intentional people, but needs to create more structure, bring in more people of color and diversity of thought. Would recommend this org to people who are very passionate about sustainability work.
Good feedback mechanism and openness to new ideas.
Interviewed with different teams/departments you will be working with.
Problem solvers, can-do attitude, and strong interest to create change!
Culture of caring for each other and wanting to see each other succeed.
Great co-workers - they make the work worth it and opportunity to lead on different projects.
Surrounded by good and kind people, but you get a few folks that are real sour to deal with.
Salary is low compared to other environmental organization. Increase in compensation, pathway to promotion is created, equity in team reorganization/mid-year promotion, and transparency on pay increase/promotion decisions.
They actually care about their employees, but due to volume of work, taking action on their words might not happen. Decision making to implement a new policy/program/idea takes an incredibly long time.
Low pay compared to other non-profits. Opaque process for promotions or salary increase. Decision is decided by 5 white women. If you are a person that cannot advocate for themselves or are on teams that don't have leverage with leadership, it'll be hard to move up the organization
