Good, I have been with the company for a few months now and I have yet to work a significant amount of overtime in a given week. There are also a lot of at-work social events and opportunities. The PTO amounts leave something to be desired, but I'm looking forward to my first holiday shutdown over Christmas and New Years.
Really positive I hear from people working at other companies working +60 hours, while an occasional week or two a year you will probably get up there it is not the norm. There definitely a clear understanding of work hours and personal time outside of work.
I think we (GMR) have great work-life balance, however the challenge becomes when your CLIENT doesn't necessarily have that balance. In that case, it's encouraged to have a discussion with your clients to set a better understanding of how/when it's best to communicate.
typically 40 hours a week
