I love working with this company! My first event was September 2018 and I was helping to promote a cellphone service provider. There were several opportunities with them and different tasks and a variety of ways to promote products: brand ambassador, street team, flyering, demos, etc. I enjoy it!

The HR team has strong concepts, but poor execution. They are leaders only by name, but not in action.

Listening to the employees, treating them like creative professionals instead of a commodity, creating a positive work environment.

GMR pays lower than all comparable companies.

More of it would be helpful

GMR is not a creative environment. During the time I was there I watched the best people leave or get fired and new people come and go. The value of creative ideas is championed there in word only. The value of down and dirty and under budget at all costs is the real driver.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is very diverse and though individualistic, we all tend to have a synergized outlook on tasks on hand. I enjoy our get togethers and meetings just as much as executing events and communicating with customers.

Team Reviews

No one could truly rely on each other and no one was allowed to help the other person. Everything was micromanaged. Anything shared with one person in confidence was spread to others, including your boss.

Free beer and parties are fine, but they spend too much on partying instead of compensating employees.

Fun physical environment to work in

They like having fun. It's a great marketing tool for recruitment.

That they try in words to create a positive environment. They take effort to be inclusive to people of all colors and creeds.

Positive leadership who puts employees first. Employees first clients second. unclear what leaderships goals are. We hear about new business wins and c-suite leaders in the news. What about your employees on the ground at events making this successful? The family feel has been replaced by greed

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Poor management, poor onboarding. They care if you fit in, not if you do good work.

If an individual did something wrong, it was only attributed to the individual. The leaders did not want to admit that they may have set their employees up for failure (i.e: failing to manage appropriately).

The problem is that the finance and client service department runs the show. The creative team is treated like short order cooks.

Put your people first. Start questioning the leaders more. There is a lack of integrity across the board which is part of the political games.
