There really is no way to feel valued as an operator.
Decisions are being made by people with only Grocery Outlet experince. The children of operators from 30 years ago....
As an IO (Independent Operator) we are all competetive with each other, some stores are only 5 miles from each other. GOI always talks about the "Operator Community" like its a valuble piece of the puzzle when we really just want each other to fail.
The leadership at GOI is horrible, especially with Tom McMahon in Southern California. Grocery Outlet uses good ole boy tactics when it comes to so many decisions they make. The inventory situation is a complete joke. They purposely mispick and mis price items to mess with the operators.
