The consumers are amazing here
Leadership team needs to fight for the employees that break their back to get paid living wages.
We all understand how much hard work we put in for such little pay so there is a lot of teamwork.
We need better pay for the amount of work that Direct Support Staff do for our consumers. Without us, there would be no ResCare. There is a very large turnover rate for DSS due to pay being too low and people can not live on the wages given.
As a former ResCare employee ( Direct Support Specialist) hired 12 years ago the starting pay was 9.00/hour with NO raises of any kind. I worked for the company for 2 years. I was recently re-hired and the pay is STILL 9.00/hr with NO raises of any kind. It is Non-Living wages!!
