Coworkers should be solely focused on their own tasks and production. They shouldnt contribute to drama nor other childish inclinations in the shop. They shouldnt treat eachother as if they are better. Learning should be shared and responsibility + accountability are key. Win as team loose as team
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
do not care about the customer and offer him zero recourse or reparation for your shortcomings / mistakes. Your dispatch procedure and work acquisition are severely lacking if not all together non existent. Your parts department habitually fails and is not held to account. No one I'd held account.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Try actually interviewing the people and learning about them and what they want out of their career path. If I was told up front the plans you guys had and what procedural changes and other changes would be made along the way I'd never have stayed. I was promised something very diferent. Horrible.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They need to be replaced. They do not know how to work in their position. They have zero leadership skills and prove it consistently in day to day interactions with customers and employees. They are self centered and have no vision nor goals. They remind me of the subordinate that should be below me
