Vacation is generous and health insurance costs are the best in my region. More importantly, if you are on vacation you do not feel pressured to be on call.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are aligned on what it takes to fulfil Evonik's vision and are not afraid to invest to make it happen. This includes keeping good employees and giving the tools they need to succeed.
What makes you most happy at work?
I get to work with some of my best friends on interesting and challenging problems. The workload is such that you can collaborate more and you can take the time to do a project right the first time.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
One of the things that I have seen, is that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined. So when there is a vacancy there isn't a surprise new list of priorities and much less "fire fighting" than I've seen in other companies.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are encouraged to collaborate and learn from each other and from that you build a sense of community. We also enjoy work social events that bring the various departments together and get to know each other. It makes coming to work seem so much more than just getting your job done.
