I hate that place. It's always 100 degrees in there all summer and in the year 2020 there is still no air conditioning. You rarely see corporate or any bosses there at this time. They stay up front in their air conditioned offices.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Caring about the manufacturing team.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I liked the aptitude testing. It let them know your strengths.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The team culture is the most positive. Currently there is no positive about the environment.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We've had 2 30 cent raises in the last 4 years and no cost of living increases while our insurance and deductibles have skyrocketed. We need regular raises plus cost of living increases.
What are some of the best things about your team?
They want to make the best product we can but our quality team works on a sliding scale relative to the numbers produced. What didn't pass yesterday is OK today because it's affecting production numbers. This definitely affects moral and our confidence in our products. I can't recommend buying them.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
It is so top heavy with so many corporate people just standing around watching. There is a constant change of leadership and they try the same things that didn't work for the last person. I've been in my section for 8 years but my knowledge and experience doesn't matter when trying to solve problems
