Co-workers were friendly and helpful for the most part. Store environment was comfortable and safe and nice to be inside.
The manager at my particular store was very efficient at her job but she definitely had "favorites" and had a way of speaking to some employees which could affect them negatively with subtle put downs.
The initial telephone interview was great, the store manager interview was also excellent and the hiring management were all very good at their job. The income they presented during the interview process was not based on reality.
Overall, my team was efficient, friendly and helpful. Professional level qualities and good sales abilities. Some were more honest about sharing sales when appropriate than others, but the culture didn't really encourage that type of "teamwork" together.
Underpaid and undervalued based on the degree of professionalism the management expressed they wanted and the low hourly pay rate and very challenging commission structure. Felt like you were making the company money, but were not paid personally for your value.
The compensation plan for sales consultants was really poor. The hourly rate was low and the commission rates were the worst I've ever worked for or seen. It was the worst paying job overall, that I have ever had in sales, and the commission plan created an undervalued effect.
