40% of People Think They’d Do a Better Job Than Their Boss

In an ideal world, your manager should be someone you admire — someone who shows you the best way to juggle multiple responsibilities, achieve goals, and manage a team. But according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably, nearly 40% of people say they think they’d do better at their boss’s job than their boss.

Men vs. women

Thirty-nine percent of men said they think they would do a better job than their boss. That compares to 37% of women.

Experience doesn’t really matter

It may be logical to think that those respondents with more experience would feel more confident about their ability to do their boss’s job; however, the results show that’s not really the case. From entry-level to those with over 10 years of experience, the rate fluctuated in a tight range (between 36% and 39%).
