It doesn’t matter how cool a company’s mission is or how beloved its products are: if employees feel underpaid or unappreciated, they aren’t going to want to stick around.
Compensation is a critical piece of talent acquisition and retention. In recognition of that, Comparably put together a list of companies that are highest ranked by employees in terms of how well they pay.
This list is part of Comparably’s Best Places to Work 2017 series.
Here are the results:

Methodology
Comparably’s “Best Of” lists are derived from sentiment ratings provided by employees who anonymously rated their employers on Comparably.com during the 2017 eligibility period (1/1/17– 11/17/17). There were no fees or costs associated with participating, nor was nomination required. Large companies are considered organizations with more than 500 employees whereas small/mid-size are businesses with less than 500 employees. Companies are listed in alphabetical order.
