Workers in administrative roles, legal, and customer support at tech companies report the lowest levels of feeling challenged at work, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query by Comparably.
Executives, HR at the top
The results, compiled from the responses of more than 10,000 workers across the industry, show that there are great divides by role. Half of all administrative workers and 61% of both legal and customer support workers say they aren’t challenged by their jobs.
Workers in executive roles and human resources reported the highest levels of being challenged by their job. Engineering and product workers were close behind, at 71%.
From an age perspective
The least-challenged workers were those aged 18 to 25 (66%) while the most were aged 51 to 55 (72%). Those in the middle hovered somewhere around 69%.
