About UPM-Kymmene's Brand

UPM-Kymmene Oyj is in the pulp, paper, and engineered materials businesses. The Company operates in energy and pulp segment crates and distributes electricity and softwood and hardwood pulp. It also holds interests in and manages forests, and provides timber products and components for building. The Paper segment produces magazine, newsprint, and fine paper. These papers are used in advertising, printers, and magazines. The Company also provides specialty papers used for label materials. The Company also owns its own power generation facilities, procures its needed natural gas, and is co-owner of the two energy companies, Kemijoki Oy and Pohjolan Voima. UPM has capacity to generate over 1.5 GW. The Engineered Materials segment produces self-adhesive labels, uncoated and coated plywood used in construction, and veneer for furniture. The Company also offers tags and inlays based on radio frequency identification technology for supply chain, pharmaceuticals, apparel, transportations, industrial and brand protection, and ticketing. UPM-Kymmene sells its products to paper sellers, printers, publishers, and construction companies in Europe, North America, and Asia.
