Working at 2K has been a great opportunity initially, but after awhile of being barely able to pay bills because of the inconsistent pay increases each year while other concerns brought up are ignored is immensely frustrating.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Current leadership is tone deaf when it comes to common issues and likes to cover these up with pizza parties and free cupcakes.
What makes you most happy at work?
I enjoy coming to work for my coworkers who I consider great friends. That being said, the other issues are slowly making it less and less enjoyable to come to work.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Working alongside so many people has been what's kept me going through most years despite the other issues that have occurred. Hiring is diverse and everyone I've interacted has been wonderful to be around.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Overall, benefits are wonderful and extremely helpful with various options. The stock programs in place are great as well. That being said, pay concerns are not only blatantly ignored but dismissed openly. We're actively shut down when trying to discuss pay differentials, despite this being legal.
What did you like most about the interview process?
As someone who has experience in being interviewed and doing the interviewing, I enjoy learning about a person beyond what they could provide for the company. People are more than just a body to employ and seeing how someone talks about other hobbies or interests shows real passion.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Overall, the culture within my department is extremely positive. I've met some of the best people to have the pleasure of knowing. Going outside of my specific department is harder to find good environments but there are several people who are a delight to work with and be around.
