Smart, innovative, forward-thinking fun people who work well with teams. They must also be customer-centric!
How are layoffs handled in the IT department at SPR?
So far, we have had no layoffs, even during the 2008 downturn. Management "bit the bullet" to ensure no one had to go. Of course, no new employees were hired and increases were affected. A privately run company can make those kind of decisions.

Yes, we have a dedicated resource who manages all of the volunteer programs and students that intern at SPR.
How innovative is SPR?
SPR tries to stay on the cutting edge of our industry from IOT to AI. Our management team keeps us centered around and aware of the "next new thing" important to our customers.

Quite often, usually once or twice a year formally. They are recognized at our quarterly outings/ meetings.
What are the most important soft skills I need to be successful at SPR?
You must be a very good communicator, both written and verbal and know your skill/language and be customer-eccentric. We interact with customers constantly and their impression is King!
What perk or benefit should SPR have?
There are so many perks and benefits (working from home when needed, work/life balance, recognition, snacks and drinks, etc) so, that is a hard question to answer for me. You can always have more and cheaper benefits but, they meet industry standards.
What is the best advice you could give someone during their first month at SPR?
SPR is has a friendly, open culture and the people are nice. I would advise any new recruits to get to know the different teams, be ready to work in an environment where you are not closely managed (no hovering) and be an independent contributor. Just delight your clients and you will flourish!

Very secure. 12 years and going strong.
