I am towards the end of my career and have been employed by Houston Methodist for 30 years. The culture truly is about focusing on the patient, but I will also say on the staff. The organization has a culture of integrity and truly gives back to the entire staff, in my mind, the best it can.

Knowing that the hospital has a, second to none, foundation and is innovative. Patient Safety number 1 priority
What do you like best about the leadership team?
When I first started, in 1996, there was a bit of a bureaucracy, but over the years the culture migrated towards open and direct communication top to bottom. Executives are engaged.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Retirement package is well above average. PTO is generous, many holidays including a separate floating holiday, PTO Sell, life insurance, variety of health coverage including an on site clinic you can visit for $15...many other.
