What's the work from home policy like at Kiwanis International?
It's at your manager's discretion, so fair but not equal at all.
Working from home is at the discretion of your supervisor and your duties, however ... many supervisors are extremely old-school and prefer the butts in seats rule. You will get the occasional request granted, but more than 1-2x a month is frowned on. And forget any short- or long-term request based on a temporary home life need, etc.

The challenge bar is high here, as it likely is in most nonprofits. When resources are scarce or limited, resourcefulness is a virtue.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Kiwanis International?
Not at all difficult to have a social life here. We only work 7.5 hour days. There are many generations within staff and quite a bit of after-hours socializing and friend groups, as well as staff who have joined Kiwanis clubs themselves. Plenty of off-work time for family and friends outside of work, as well.
How do you feel about going to work at Kiwanis International everyday?
Hopeful, determined to make progress, mostly grateful for the work I do. Some days are just hard though.

Every team is a bit different. For some it's immediate and daily. For others, it's once a week huddle. Once a month team meetups. For a few, it might simply be the annual review.
