  • Perks are awesome! We get the week off paid between Christmas and New Year. We have lots of cookouts and pitch-ins and parties. We get ice cream truck delivery occasionally. We can buy $100 worth of Kiwanis merchandise in our store each year. Great medical, dental, vision, life ins. benefits.

  • Company culture is caring and like a family. We often celebrate successes together with small and large victory celebrations. We have cookouts, pitch-ins, afternoon treat breaks, etc. We also come together to help co-workers in need.

  • Our CEO is well-liked. He's been with Kiwanis a long time and come up through the ranks. He's down-to-earth and very positive. He likes technology and thinking big. He's not a great communicator in terms of ensuring 100% transparency, but the responsibility for should be equally shared across leadership.

  • Work/life balance here is great. They really do try to make the culture here family friendly and common sense. Parents, caregivers, hobbyists and others will find lots of flexibility.

  • Yes, but very few. There could be more remote positions and a better policy surrounding the concept, but Kiwanis hasn't really embraced it yet. They are missing the boat and will likely change when forced to keep up with industry trends.

  • Promotions are mostly based on merit and experience, yet too many hiring and promotion decisions are still reactive vs. proactive. To be fair, there isn't a lot of upward mobility here as we're too small.
