As a trained storyteller and creator, Kate Hamilton serves as 8th Light’s Vice President of Growth Marketing. Kate specializes in developing compelling content, integrating and applying digital marketing solutions, and engaging B2B and B2C audiences with strategies and content that resonates.
Before her time at 8th Light, Kate served as vice president and digital strategy leader for a number of marketing agencies, helping companies — from startups to global Fortune 500 organizations — execute integrated marketing solutions to solve business challenges. She has extensive experience leading organizations committed to connecting communities through storytelling, including LoganSquarist — a hyperlocal news website serving Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood that she founded in 2011.
Prior to her marketing career, Kate spent a decade as a B2B journalist, covering a number of industries. Kate double majored in Communication Studies and Journalism and Mass communications, earning her Bachelors of Arts from the University of Iowa.
