What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Netflix? How many hours are you working?
On my engineering team the WLB is great. People maintain their own hours. A few come in at 9 and leave and 4-5 pm, others come in later and stay later. The main thing is people are pretty responsive on email/slack. More than past companies I've worked at. That doesn't mean they're working late hours but they're responsive, especially if it's a production issue. Overall I would say the vibe is good. There's an overall positive vibe here since the company is doing well and most teams work on interesting problems. The top of market pay helps too

It's kind of unclear. Every team is different, which also makes it tough.

Fabulous but it all depends on your team. We get unlimited vacation which means some people take advantage and some people don't take enough time. Some managers are better than others at encouraging the team to take off
