If that's the case, you will see a permissions or "consent" error when you try to link an Office365 account. Contact your IT administrator to request that they add Accompany as a trusted app.
I can access my email through the Outlook Web App
Go toOptions (under the settings gear in the top right corner)

If server name is outlook.office365.com, useoutlook.office365.com as your server or sign in with our Office365 option
If the format is "pod-----.outlook.com", use m.outlook.com as your server
If the server name includes your organization's name (e.g. pop.companyname.com), then your server is in the web address bar ofyour browser. For example, if the web address is https://mail.companyname.com/owa, then your server name is mail.companyname.com
If all of the above fail, you can ask your IT department for help looking up your settings. Note, some companies give you certificates to provide authentication, so you will need to connect with your IT department in order to gain access.

Briefings FAQ
When will I get Briefings?
Briefings are designed to deliver critical information about unfamiliar contacts that youre meeting withyoull get a Briefing delivered whenever you schedule meetings with unfamiliar people in your calendar. This means that if youre meeting with someone you work with or someone youre already in touch with regularly, youwon'tget a Briefing for that person. Our systems are able to intelligently detect who you need info about and who you dont, so you only get the most mission-critical relationship intelligence in your inbox.
I have a meeting with someone new, so why didnt I get a Briefing?
Accompany makes every effort to respect your inboxif wedon'thave high quality data about someone youre meeting with, wewon'tsend you a Briefing about them. That said, you can always go to your Accompany calendar to see all the data we have about anyone youre meeting with, including already-familiar contacts and companies to know exactly who youre meeting with at any time.
Why am I getting briefings for people who werent invited to my meeting?
Sometimes Accompany will detect names in your event title or description that werent in the invitee listwhenever our system is confident enough, it will mark them out as a Detected Contact in the event. Our system will not send invites for the event without your say-so; we only deliver intelligence to you about people who we think might be relevant to your meeting.
Can I customize my Briefings?
Yes! You can customize the content and delivery options for all of your Briefings at any time. Specifically, you can customize the briefing time to get sent to you on the morning of your meeting or the night before. You can also choose whether to include these sections in your Email Briefings:
Recent emails
Meeting history
Recent social posts from Twitter
Interests and Insights you have added to your Contact
Detected contactscontacts whose names appear in the meeting description but are not meeting invitees.
All of these changes can be made in the Settings section of both our web and iOS apps and will translate immediately across all your devices.
Why am I being briefed on people whoaren'trelevant to me?
Accompanys contact intelligence does its best to figure out who sits at the crossroads of whos important to you and whos unfamiliar to you. Sometimes, our AI judgments miss the mark and tell you about someone whoisn'trelevant, or someone you already know well. When this happens, you can reply to any of our briefing emails to let us know! Well be happy to fix up any errors that you find, or listen to any feedback you have about our briefings.
What email address will you send my briefings to?
We will send your Briefings to whatever email you have marked as your primary email in Accompany settings. Usually this is the same email that you used to sign up, but if you have multiple accounts connected to Accompany you can change which email address is set to primary by going to and selecting the account where you would like to receive your Briefings.

View ArticleEmployment and education history for your contacts (their professional summary) comes from Accompany's data platform. When you add a Contact, we look for information we can use to match them up with someone in ourdatabase; if there's a match, we'll associatethat data withyour Contact.
If youdon'tsee a professional summary for one of your Contacts, that meansone of the followingthings:
Wedon'thave enough information on your Contact to link them to someone in our database
The person doesnt exist in our database
Their database entry doesnt include a professional summary
To make sure theres enough information on your contacts to link them up, we recommend making sure your Contacts have accurate and current information. Its also a good practice to make sure all Contacts have both a first and last name.
For situations 2 and 3, feel free to let us know when you come across a contact with an empty professional summary and well be happy to work on building up their profile.
