Mr. Wahid Nawabi has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of AeroVironment, Inc. since May 2, 2016 and January 16, 2016 respectively. Mr. Nawabi has served as the President of AeroVironment, Inc. and served as its Chief Operating Officer since April 30, 2015 until May 1, 2016. Mr. Nawabi served as the General Manager of Efficient Energy Systems Business Segment at AeroVironment, Inc. from December 13, 2011 to April 30, 2015 and served as its Senior Vice President from December 13, 2011 to January 16, 2016. Prior to AeroVironment, he had a 20-year career as an Executive with advanced technology companies in industries spanning clean technology, industrial/electrical equipment manufacturing, telecom and energy. During his 16 years at American Power Conversion (APC), its revenue increased from $50 million to more than $2.4 billion and it became the world leader in power protection. He started and led the Enterprise/Data Center business at APC, growing revenue to $600 million from 2000 to 2008. He also led C&D Technologies' Americas business. Mr. Nawabi earned his Undergraduate Degree from The University of Maryland at College Park in Electrical Engineering, concentrating in Power. Mr. Nawabi has been a Director of AeroVironment, Inc. since May 2, 2016.
