Audrey Boone Tillman Esq. — Executive VP & General Counsel at Aflac

Ms. Audrey Boone Tillman, ESQ, has been Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Aflac Incorporated since May 2014. Ms. Tillman served as an Executive Vice President and Director of Corporate Services of Aflac Inc. since January 2008. Ms. Tillman assumed responsibility for Facilities and Health Services in 2005. Ms. Tillman was responsible for all aspects of human resource management for Aflac Inc. more than 4,200 employees. She served as Senior Vice President of Aflac Inc., from August 2001 to January 2008. She served as a Director of Human Resources, Facilities and Health Services - United States of AFLAC Inc. since 2005. She served as Director at-large for the Society for Human Resource Management. Ms. Tillman joined Aflac in January 1996 as a member of the Legal Department and served as Second Vice President since September 1997, Vice President and Senior Associate Counsel, Legal Division, since September 2000. Ms. Tillman served as an Associate Professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law. From 1990 to 1993, she was an associate with the Smith, Helms, Mulliss and Moore law firm in Greensboro, North Carolina. She also served as the Federal judicial law clerk to Judge Richard C. Erwin, U.S. District Court for North Carolina. She served as a Chairperson of the corporate law section of the National Bar Association. She serves as Member of Advisory Board of Gephardt Group LLC. She serves on the regional board of Wachovia Bank. She serves as a member of the Columbus Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and The Links, Incorporated, State Bar of Georgia, the North Carolina State Bar and the Bar of the District of Columbia. She served on Governor Perdue's Workforce Development Task Force, part of the Commission for a New Georgia. She has received a corporate governance award from the Celebrating Excellence in Leadership Organization. Ms. Tillman was named one of the Top 100 Blacks in Corporate America by Black Professionals magazine. She has also been recognized by GA. Ms. Tillman holds a Bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
