What's the vibe like in the Sales dept at Aflac? How many hours are you working?
Atmosphere is electric. Full time, you have to truly put in your 40-50 hours necessary if you are going to make it.
I'm working anywhere from 20-40 hours depending on how my week is scheduled with personal appointments.
We always try to have fun and the higher ups make sure of it. When I first started with Aflac I worked from about 8:30 to 3pm but I actually put in work. The hardest part about this business is staying motivated and focused. Work when you know you should be working and you will make money.

Just got an offer and yes, they do pre-hire drug testing. Supposedly urine.
No drug test, but yes does do a background check
Aflac does not drug test or do background checks for agents. However, to be an Aflac agent you must get your insurance license. To get your insurance license you must be fingerprinted and pass a background check.

More personable and down to earth
Easier than most. It’s more informative than anything. The interviewer gives you all the info you need to decide if you’d like to accept the position.
It felt more relaxed, not as intense.
Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from Aflac?
I met with the regional coordinator at the time and within a few days I heard back
I met with a regional manager and I did not have to wait. For a sales position, you automatically get the job if you choose to get your insurance license so it’s up to you.
I met with a Regional Coordinator, and received an email the following day thanking me for my time.

It is wonderful and fun to work with Aflac.
The leadership is always helpful but be aware of greedy trainers (CIT's) that use new agents as their personal secretaries and may go as far as to strategically steal money from new agents.
