Mr. Frederick J. Crawford, also known as Fred, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of AFLAC Inc. since June 30, 2015. Mr. Crawford served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of CNO Financial Group, Inc. from January 23, 2012 to June 24, 2015. He has nearly three decades of financial and leadership experience. Mr. Crawford served as an Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Development and Investments at Lincoln Financial Group since January 2011. He served as an Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Investments at Lincoln National Corporation since March 2010. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Lincoln Financial Advisors Corporation. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lincoln Financial Group, a subsidiary of Lincoln National Corp. Mr. Crawford served as the Chief Financial Officer of Lincoln National Corp., since 2004 and as its Executive Vice President since November 2008. He served as Senior Vice President of Lincoln National Corp. from 2004 to November 2008 and served as its Vice President and Treasurer since January 2001. He served as LFG's Treasurer until March 2005 and its Vice President. He joined Lincoln Financial after a 13-year banking career served as President of Bank One-Cincinnati. Mr. Crawford served as senior banker in the Insurance Banking Division of Bank One. In 1987, Mr. Crawford joined NBD Bank N.A. and held positions of increasing importance in the commercial banking division. Mr. Crawford joined the insurance specialty division as first Vice President in 1995 as NBD Bank and First Chicago Corporation merged to form First Chicago NBD. Within this position, he managed a portfolio of large corporate insurance clients across an array of commercial and investment banking activities mostly in the Midwest for treasury management, risk management (derivatives), syndicated loan facilities and corporate finance products. Mr. Crawford received his bachelor of arts degree from Indiana State University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Iowa, where serves as an Advisory Board Member with the Finance Department at its Tippie College of Business.
