J. Peter Kelso — MD and Chief Investments Technology Officer of Global Investments & Corporate IT at Aflac

Mr. J. Peter Kelso, also known as Pete, has been Managing Director and Chief Investments Technology Officer of Global Investments at Aflac Incorporated since October 2012. Mr. Kelso has 20 years of experience in both information technology and operations in the financial services industry. He served as Managing Director and Head of Application Services for Asset Management, Securities Lending, Funding, Listed Derivatives, CMBS, RMBS, Loans, Money Markets and Foreign Exchange at Deutsche Bank. Mr. Kelso was responsible for all IT projects and applications within those businesses, managing a team of over 400 employees and contractors on a global basis. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a Director and Head of Investments Technology at Merrill Lynch Investment Management for five years. Mr. Kelso served as Vice President In Technology for Bankers Trust Company's Asset Management Division. He began his career as a computer engineer at Northern Telecom. Mr. Kelso received a Master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in Finance and Statistics from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in General Engineering from the University of Illinois.
