Ms. June P. Howard, CPA, CFA, CGMA has been Senior Vice President of Financial Services at AFLAC Inc. since 2010 and has been its Chief Accounting Officer since November 2010. Ms. Howard served as Senior Vice President of Financial Services and International Financial Reporting Standards at AFLAC Inc., since March 2010. Ms. Howard is responsible for financial reporting, investment accounting and accounting policy. Ms. Howard joined Aflac in 2009 as Vice President of IFRS implementation. Prior to joining Aflac, she served as Head of IFRS and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for ING's U.S. operations and served as Director of corporate and investment accounting policy at The Hartford. She served as Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, where she began her career and subsequently served in different capacities for more than nine years. Ms. Howard graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a bachelor's degree in accounting. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the CFA Institute, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts.
