Mr. Thomas P. Mckenna has been Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Legal Division at Aflac Incorporated since January 2012. Mr. McKenna continues to manage and direct the operations of the Aflac U.S. Legal Division at Aflac Incorporated. He joined the Legal Department in 1993. He has assumed progressively responsible management positions, including his most recent role as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. In addition, he coordinates legal functions with Compliance and Governmental Relations, Internal Operations, Marketing, Claims and IT; maintains programs designed to reduce or eliminate legal risks for company operations; and provides legal counsel to management on a broad range of topics. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. He received his juris doctor degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Columbus State University.
