Mr. Rick M. McConnell has been the President and General Manager of The Web Division at Akamai Technologies, Inc. since May 2016. Mr. McConnell served as the President of Products and Development at Akamai Technologies, Inc. since January 1, 2013. Mr. McConnell is responsible for managing Akamai's product divisions, including product engineering and corporate development teams. Since joining Akamai in 2011, Mr. McConnell has been instrumental in managing and scaling the development, innovation and productivity of Akamai's product divisions. Mr. McConnell served as an Executive Vice President of Products and Development at Akamai Technologies, Inc., from November 1, 2011 to December 2012. Mr. McConnell was responsible for leading Akamai's product divisions, including the company's Site, Enterprise Cloud and Media divisions and oversees all development and management of Akamai's market-leading product lines He served as Chief Executive Officer of Latitude Communications Inc. since September 2002 and President since August 2001. He joined Cisco in 2004 when Cisco acquired Latitude Communications, a provider of fully integrated voice and web conferencing solutions. He served in a number of senior executive positions at Cisco Systems. Mr. McConnell served as a Vice President and General Manager of the Unified Communications Business Unit in Cisco's Voice Technology Group, managing over 600 people around the globe with a focus on engineering and product management. His time at Cisco also includes having led strategy and operations for the company's $5 billion Communications and Collaboration business. He served as Vice President, Collaboration Software Sales at Cisco and was responsible for global WebEx sales and for Cisco's workspace applications, including conferencing and client software. Mr. McConnell served as Chief Operating Officer at Cisco from August 2001 to September 2002. He has 25 years of product and business development expertise, with focus on Internet communications and collaboration technologies. He served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Latitude Communications Inc. from December 1998 to August 2001 and Vice President of Administration from December 1998 to February 2001. Mr. McConnell served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Administration of Storm Technology, Inc., from January 1994 to November 1998. Mr. McConnell served as Director of Finance and Administration of Storm from June 1992 to January 1994. Mr. McConnell served as Principal Accounting Officer of Storm Technology Inc. From July 1987 to June 1990. Mr. McConnell was employed as a Financial Engineer of The First Boston Corporation (formerly Credit Suisse First Boston). Mr. McConnell served as a Director of Latitude Communications Inc., since September 2002. Mr. McConnell holds a B.A. degree in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
