Debbie Dewey — President of Indiana American Water and President of Michigan American Water at American Water Works

Ms. Debbie Dewey has been the President of Indiana American Water and President of Michigan American Water since June 20, 2016. Ms. Dewey serves as Vice President of Operations at Western Kentucky Energy Corp. She served as the Vice President of Operations for Indiana American Water, where she led operations that provide reliable water services to more than 1.2 million people in Indiana. I Prior to joining Indiana American Water, she served as the President of the Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville, which created attraction, retention and incubation projects that led to more than 3,200 jobs in Indiana. She also served as the President of Western Kentucky Energy/LG & E. Additionally, she has owned and managed a company that installed municipal water system infrastructure and has provided independent consulting services in the areas of power generation, strategic planning and cost optimization. She started her career at Westinghouse Electric Corp., where she was involved in strategic planning and field technology services. She also served as manufacturing and product general manager at General Electric Corp., where she led more than 1,100 employees. Ms. Dewey earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida.
