Randy A. Moore — President of Iowa American Water at American Water Works

Mr. Randy A. Moore serves as the President of Iowa-American Water Company Inc at American Water Works Company, Inc. Mr. Moore reinforces and strengthens customer, regulatory and local government relationships, drives operational and financial results and is the principal external contact for American Water in Iowa. Mr. Moore served as Director of Operations at Ohio American Water. Mr. Moore has diverse water utility experience in a variety of leadership roles at American Water operations in Indiana and Ohio. His career began in 1979 as a Treatment Plant Operator in Indiana American Water's Wabash Valley District. He served at Indiana American Water until 2005, where he served in operational management positions of increasing responsibility in the Wabash Valley District, Muncie District and the Northwest Operations headquartered in Gary. Mr. Moore served as a Key Contact for 17 different cities and several communities and managed a 300,000 customer water treatment, processing and distribution operation. In 2005, Mr. Moore briefly left American Water and served as Vice President of Operations at Earth Tech, where he oversaw a team of approximately 150 employees who delivered water and wastewater service in the United States and Canada. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana Wesleyan where has he taught classes on management theory and philosophy. Mr. Moore is an active Member of several professional organizations, including the American Water Works Association and the National Association of Water Companies. He served as a Trustee for the Marion County (Ohio) United Way and as an Executive Board Member for the Black Heritage Council. In 2003, he won an Outstanding Citizen Award from the Muncie (Ind.) Times newspaper. Mr. Moore has Master's of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and Bachelor's in Business Management from Indiana State University.
