He served as the Chief Executive Officer of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. since March 1, 2015. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of HealthCare Partners, LLC from December 2013 to August 1, 2014. He served as an Executive Vice President for Healthcare Partners(R) Division of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. since August 6, 2013. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dean Health Systems, Inc. (Dean Clinic) from September 2006 to August 2013. Dr. Samitt served as a Chief Operating Officer of Fallon Clinic (now Reliant Medical Group) in Worcester, Massachusetts. At Fallon Clinic he was responsible for all clinical and business operations. Prior to joining Fallon Clinic in 2002, he served as Senior Vice President for Marketing, Sales and Customer Service of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. while at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Brookline Massachusetts, he served in a number of capacities including Senior Executive of their largest ambulatory care center, Corporate Director of the Internal Medicine Department and Chief of Internal Medicine. He serves as a Director of BioCrossroads. He is an Appointee on the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC). He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and has been designated as both an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist as well as a finalist for Modern Healthcare's Top 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare. He has more than 20 years of experience leading integrated delivery systems. He earned an undergraduate degree in Biology at Tufts University. He earned his Medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and completed internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Samitt received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia.
