Executive Bio
J. Brent Hagy is the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at ArcBest®, leading the company’s legal strategy and government relations. With more than 25 years of experience as in-house counsel, Brent provides legal counsel to ArcBest’s executive leadership team and Board of Directors, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards. Under his leadership, the legal team identifies and mitigates risks and supports the company’s strategic initiatives.
Brent joined ArcBest in February 2025 as Vice President – Legal and assumed his current role in January 2026. Prior to ArcBest, he served as general counsel for CarbonFree Chemical Holdings and held senior legal leadership roles at Enable Midstream Partners. Earlier in his career, Brent worked as an in-house attorney for Enogex, a subsidiary of OGE Entergy Corp.
He holds a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law and bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Tech University.
