Archer Education Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

We sometimes get opportunities to earn bonuses

Review from Customer Support Dept

Not yet, too early to say.

Not sure what I consider best but overall I am satisfied.

Review from Marketing Dept

The insurance benefits and 401K

Compensation and PTO is fair.

Review from Sales Dept

Summer Fridays and sick days policy.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I love the additional small perks like Bonusly, which build the sense of belonging and collaboration. I feel like I am compensated well for the work that I am doing.

The health insurance is pretty good.

All of it! It provides healthcare, 401k, bonuses, as well as extra resources.

The fact that the highest grad plans were what I would have had to pay an arm and a leg for before. If that amount of coverage was even offered.

I think they are all very fair offerings for the work I am doing.

Review from Marketing Dept

Bonus opportunities make it worthwhile

That it proves I am a valued employee at this company.

Review from Marketing Dept

Overall good combination of items

Review from Marketing Dept

Salary, health insurance and company holidays

For me it's my salary.

Review from Marketing Dept

Nothing specific at this time

That we have several different medical plan options available.

I appreciate the great benefits!

I don't think there is one that stands out in particular. I think overall it's just a very fair package based on the market.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Continual flexibility. I receive positive feedback from my manager and direct teammates, but across the company, no one seems to care or know much about my department. There's a lot of attention and praise to the newer areas of business.

Review from Marketing Dept

When I am given more responsibilities, I have to wait till June to get a raise or promotion. At that point, the question is "what additional responsibilities will you take on?" which completely ignores the fact that I've already been taking on additional responsibilities w/o increased pay.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel like the compensation is good, but could defintely be adjusted more than once a year.

Compensation is good but current market is fiercely competitive

I feel undervalued because my compensation isn't commensurate with my responsibilities, performance, or experience. I would feel better about my compensation if Archer increased my salary and rewarded me when I deliver on fundamental business goals such as lowering costs and increasing production.

Review from Marketing Dept

higher salary, annual bonus plan

Review from Product Dept

I would feel better having to only work 40 hours/week or being paid more for extra time put in

Review from Marketing Dept

I don't believe that salaries are as competitive as they could be. I also think that the company could create a better compensation structure that would include an employees geo-location and the cost of living of that area.

Review from Product Dept

Because other people were paid less, if you are at a certain level, you will not receive an increase because the company has to pay to right size the underpaid. With inflation this year and no increase, what I am making is less than the last year.

Review from Marketing Dept

I feel like the salary bands are too restrictive.

While I got an increase in salary after the reviews, I believe my salary is lower than the average for this position.

Review from Marketing Dept

In my negotiations I was told the salary I was offered was at the top if not over the salary band, only to find out that I'm actually in the low-mid end of the range. I meet nearly all the criteria for not only the maximum salary, but likely a more senior position, so that was very disappointing.

If I had more visibility into the compensation of other individuals at my level and didn?

I think that my role has expanded far beyond what I was hired for and my pay doesn't accurately reflect that.

Compared to the standard in the industry, I make far below average. Additionally, the whole process for my promotion felt very much like I couldn't negotiate and should just be grateful for what I was getting. I don't believe that many of the men in the company would be told the same things.

Our compensation is far too low. Compensation should take into account cost of living for where employees live especially since we have remote employees living in a range of places. We also need salary transparency.

Industry avg salary for my experience is higher than my current pay rate

Review from Marketing Dept

I would have liked to get a full raise. I feel undercut as I got a small increase early, but the wait for my next increase will be so long. It was also smaller than it was the previous year and inflation is devastatingly high this year. I would also like the 401K match to increase 5%

Review from Sales Dept

I am disappointed by the new pay structure of a 3% max increase. This means the only way to grow will be to move into a new position, which is limited. This will force invested employees to have to look elsewhere to keep up with inflation.

Review from Sales Dept

Salary decisions are largely arbitrary and there is no consistent structure in place to make sure people are paid equitably. Raises are usually based on how little you're willing to accept and have it still "feel like a win," instead of being based on actual merit or value added to the company.
