Go getter who knows how to find and get the answers they need to solve problems. They fall In love with problems not solutions. They are always looking to grow and improve their skills.
How flexible is your work schedule at Ascentis?
Fairly.
What Design department questions did Ascentis ask during your job interview?
No design when I was interviewing.
What's the work from home policy like at Ascentis?
If you’ve been grandfathered in from older leadership, it’s fine. If not you’re expected to be in an office most days, expections for sickness of course.
Does Ascentis drug test or do a background check?
Yes
What's the internship program like at Ascentis?
It doesn’t exist... yet... it’s on our roadmap.
How does Ascentis handle HR issues?
I don’t know. Never been an issue I’ve had to resolve. Though from what I’ve seen they are quick and transparent, more so than most.
How innovative is Ascentis?
Describe innovation. That has a different meaning for every company.
How does Ascentis measure success and growth in the Design department?
Like most companies we have a write up of the skills and expectations of each level and type of designer within the company. Each designer is expected to perform to the level they are titled at. Success differs as the company is just learning what UX is and it’s importance. Depending on who you are talking to and how much you can persuade them vs walking all over them tends to determine the majority of your success. Also contributing to processes and always recommending improvements is another determining factor. We are a disparate team, located in California, Uruguay, Florida, and Minneapolis so being able to work independently and get what you need on your own matters too.
How do you feel about Ascentis's future?
Not good, a complete shift in company direction and culture recently happened and it upset a lot of people
