Mr. Christopher J. Pagano, also known as Chris, CFA, has been Chief Risk Officer of Assurant, Inc. since July 18, 2016 and its Executive Vice President since July 2007. Mr. Pagano has been the President and Chief Investment Officer of Assurant Asset Management, a division of Assurant Inc. since January 2005. He has been the President and Chief Investment Officer of Assurant Asset Management, a division of Assurant Inc. since January 2005. He served as a Treasurer of Assurant Inc. from July 2007 to July 18, 2016. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Assurant Inc. from August 15, 2014 to July 18, 2016. He also oversee Assurant's corporate actuarial and treasury functions. Mr. Pagano served as Executive Vice President of Assurant Asset Management of Assurant Inc. until December 31, 2004 and served as its Chief Investment Officer until August 15, 2014. Mr. Pagano joined Assurant in March 1996, served as Vice President Portfolio Manager of Fortis Advisers until 2001 and then served as Executive Vice President of Fixed Income and Asset Management until 2004. Prior to joining Assurant, he served as Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where his last role was as the Government Strategist in Global Fixed Income Research. He has been a Director of Union Security Insurance Company, Inc. since December 2009. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in 1985. Mr. Pagano holds Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. He earned his Master of Business Administration in 1995 from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. Mr. Pagano is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
