Home health care is new to me as a nurse and I have found it to be very rewarding getting to know my patients and families. With all my years in nursing I have never had the flexibility with work and this job provides me with that.

There has been issues with management since hire. This was reported to upper management and nothing changed. It continues to get worse with the negative environment, belittling towards office staff by management and there is a significant lack of training for those staff members, etc

Actually being transparent, not just using the word. Area leadership and VP's in Colorado have denied us annual bonuses and raises in the past without proper explanations and then when staff raise concerns and make a big deal then we get those incentives, but not without a stink.

Based on my years of experience as an RN, BSN I believe I should be paid based on that and job performance. I did take a big pay cut to join the home health care team. I do love the work and rewards of meeting amazing patients but would like to see the pay increase bases on experience.

Being in charge of multiple additional tasks that are not a part of my role or in my job description to ensure that our patients are being cared for in the best possible way while it goes unnoticed and management does not get held accountable to ensure these items are done correctly.

I was making double than what I am now at a hospital, the nurses should be compensated better then you'll find better candidates to take care of the Pts.

Because of certain payers like tricare, we are always behind on aging, which makes our entire state not receive quarterly bonuses. I think that is ridiculous. I was also not even allowed to negotiate my pay when i was promoted. I was offered the entry level pay and my skills are not entry level.

We come together for staff meetings once a month and then we all get to eat together. This is positive as we can ask questions but also find out more about our coworkers and get to know each other better. This way you feel more comfortable asking for help because you know they care.

Constantly changing policies and expectations, people are not always on the same page or providing same information, recruiting and hiring process of nurses is too far removed from clinical leadership.

You can raise the pay rate and salary rate. This is a billion dollar company with offices across the nation, and it continues to spend upwards of $175 million to acquire new companies, rather than raising the wages for those that are loyal. Instead the company roles out badges for longevity worked.
