Very transparent regarding the company direction, strategy and current position. Allowed to speak directly with founders and C-level despite not reporting directly to them. Pre-hire 'project' allowed both of us to get an idea of the company work style, expectations and abilities.
The process was lightweighted and focused on view of the world and work culture, rather than on specific knowledge (which you can always gain with the right attitude),
