There are a lot of growth opportunities for people who are passionate, lean in, and demonstrate talent for execution and strategic thinking. In 1 year that i have been with the company I have been given various growth opportunities.
What skills do you need to be successful in the Engineering department at Axon?
Designing in a group setting, through docs and in person. The ability to initiate communication as needed between teams and with product to clarify requirements. Solid coding, testing and technical design. Dedication to the mission of improving policing and encouraging non-lethal alternatives to bullets. An interest in the law enforcement technical services space.
How does Axon measure success and growth in the Engineering department?
Axon has a very team-oriented approach, but there are opportunities for ownership. Engineering levels are a literal measure, but performance is judged more in a team context.
