They are open and clear communicators with a great deal of transparency. They've kept the company alive through challenging times and treat us well.
The leaders of Azul Systems created a wonderful, open and constructive culture. Things are easy to get done, the company is flexible and if things make sense usually they will be approved.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
No 401K match, but vision care is $0.

Most tech companies have an established equity program (ours is still TBD) and unlimited vacation. Vacation policy allows 2 weeks in first year. However, one of the weeks MUST be used during company shut down between Christmas and New Year's or you end up needing to take unpaid leave. Not cool.

Everyone works hard and we don't really have slackers.

Alignment is increasing all the time among teams so we're all moving toward a common goal rather than looking out for ourselves individually.
A real sense of team work through collaboration and open communications

What did you like most about the interview process?
The panel at the end asked tough but fair questions, which allowed me to both showcase my willingness to work together and demonstrate my expertise.
Very open dialogue. No BS
It was just a conversation at eye level - people getting to know each other who want to find out if the company and the applicant would be a good fit. no games, no stupid questions, just all straight forward and to the point, positive and interested
