we really haven't had layoffs. We've had non-performers professionally leave the company.

Sales doesn't really have layoffs. Sales reductions or in reality changes are purely based on performance.

Not sure our benefits are unique, but like most companies, have a solid health and dental plan, 401K, stock options. We also have bi-weekly breakfast brought in, company wide meetings/lunch each quarter, holiday events, etc.

Nothing really. I had a long courtship, so knew the team well before joining.

If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Azul?
I'm racking my brain thinking what we could change culturally at Azul? Our communications are open and often, but probably could be even better? Better interdepartmental communications (ex. Sales and Engineering) could improve. The Azul culture is one that is very collaborative, respectful and driven, so not much to complain about here...
Be absolutely crystal clear on sales territories and quota achievement, and change them very infrequently.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Azul?
Travel requirements often consume the work week, but weekends are mostly free.
The job has never interfered with my social life!

offices and cubicles. large lunch area, including ping pong table!

Depends on the role. Be "neatly" dressed, a coat and tie is not necessary.
What are company outings like at Azul?
Fun! For the holidays this past year, we took over the mountain winery and had a wonderful catered lunch, and party!
